Pools & Pool Heating.
The Villas with pools all
have inclusive pool heating and the prices listed are checked against our
competitors to ensure a good deal. We offer fully inclusive pool
heating from September 30th through May 31st. Pool heating
is extra during June, July & August, but is rarely needed in
Florida.
Paying through the
Society
- A safer Way?
The Society
handles your booking to give you peace of mind and security. Dealing
directly with a Villa Owner can very occasionally lead to disappointment,
perhaps the Villa is not available due to a water leak or similar, a
single owner my find it difficult to offer you alternative
accommodation. Also on extremely rare occasions, the Villa owner may
not be able to keep the booking due to faulty air conditioning or a
pool leak etc, this is not to say booking direct is not generally
safe, it is, but booking with a collective of owners does provide
enhanced security as we are able to draw upon over 1000 Villa owners
to find you an alternative, in the unlikely event that we could not,
The Villa Owners Society would provide a hotel (room only basis) for
the balance of your vacation . This is where The Villa Owners Society offers you
enhanced protection, you can be sure that you will have
accommodation, that your payment will be sent to a real villa owner
and avoid the rare internet scams.
We aim to work alongside our Owners who do an excellent job and
work hard to make your holiday perfect; occasionally things can
go wrong and we will help you to resolve any issues, firstly we will
talk to the Owner's management company, if you have not had your
problem resolved in a timely manner, and in the extremely rare event
that you can not get your issued resolved, we will reallocate your
payment to a different owner to find you an alternative Villa. If
this is not available then we will provide a hotel for the balance
of your stay. Finally, we process your booking in a
professional manner from start to finish. You will receive written
confirmation of your booking, a map and clear directions and all the
codes you need for access. In addition we will ensure your Villa has
been fully cleaned and serviced prior to your arrival and will phone
you on your first day in the Villa to check all is w
Are We a
Travel Agent?
No, we are a Villa marketing service used by a collective of
private Villa owners and Group Managers who have chosen to
advertise their properties on our extensive websites and
print media . We are effectively an Online Villa Magazine
with a range of extra services to improve your Villa
experience. We offer our services to provide a single point
to research a range of Villas, all of which have been
selected by the Society of Villa Owners Staff. We have
strict inclusion criteria and will only offer properties
that meet our Standards. We confirm the ownership of each
property and also externally inspect each Florida property.
Any property that has not been inspected will state this in
the description.
Your Money.
We are fully supportive of direct owner to guest villa marketing and
offer services to improve these transactions. We do not every hold your
money; you payment is made payable to the owner directly and is passed
through our offices for administrative purposes and is never cashed to
our accounts or made payable to The Society. We are paid for our
services by way of a booking fee that is paid for with your deposit when
you book a Villa on our Websites.
Are you Bonded with ABTA
or ATOL etc.?
No; we are not bonded, we are an on-line magazine not a travel agent; we
are registered with the Office of Fair Trading and hold both a consumer
credit license and Data Protection License. We do not need to be bonded.
A travel agent collects your money and at a later date pays the airline
and hotel for your service, what happens if the Travel Agent goes bust?
This is when the ABTA bond comes in to help compensate you. We never
hold your money; your payment is made to the owner directly, immediately
and without any deduction. Generally a 20% deposit is required and you
do not need to pay the balance until six weeks prior to travel. This is
safer than paying in full in advance. Also we offer you our Guarantee
that we will find you an alternative Villa and assist you to reclaim the
payment from the owner if in the extremely rare event that this is
required.
Do you offer Insurances?
No; We can refer you to a subsidiary to provide cover, and we
strongly recommend you pay for travel insurance at the time of your
booking. We believe it is best to insure with your Airline Ticket
provider or your Bank.
